| We do not tolerate spam and will never sell, rent, or lease your details
(name, address, email etc...) to any other third party. Neither will you be sent
unsolicited e-mail. |
| Our site does require a valid e-mail address for periodic
mailings related to the function of CartFactory and for billing purposes. However, we do
not and will not sell our user list to any third party. |
| This site has security measures in place to protect the loss,
misuse and alteration of all information under our control. |
| As for information under your control, such as your customer
mailing lists, we have a strong anti-SPAM policy that we expect you to adhere to. We
provide a way for you to send out mass-mailings to your customers. This presents a
possible problem because, although this feature was requested to enable legitimate email
marketing to your current and past customers, it does open up the possibility of abuse.
To prevent this, our system has several safeguards in place. |
| The first is simply our stringent anti-SPAM policy. Use of our
mass-mailing utility indicates agreement to abide by our anti-SPAM policy. If you do not
agree, do not use the mass-mailer. If abuse of the mass-mailer is reported, we will
investigate. If we find that you have been misusing the mass-mailer you will be reminded
of our policy and warned. If the abuse continues, your account will be deactivated.
There can be no exceptions. |
| Second, customer information can only be added to your lists when
customers opt-in themselves or you manually enter them into the system. If you
manually enter them, we suggest keeping a record of how you got their name in case a
customer on your list accuses you of sending unsolicited email in the future. |
| Third, our system automatically appends a valid link to a
remove-me page to the bottom of every email that is sent out by the mass-mailer. At any
time recipients can use this link to remove themselves immediately from your list. You
cannot override this feature. |
| These precautions protect your customers from unwanted SPAM as
well as protecting you and your fellow CartFactory users from being associated with
an organization that allows spammers to operate. Together we can do our part to insure
the responsible use of email marketing. |
